Martin L. Moffett

Marty has over 30 years of experience in public accounting, developing an expertise in corporate mergers and acquisitions, partnership tax matters, tax controversy, tax accounting methods, and ASC 740.  He began his career at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (KPMG) providing tax services to some of the firm’s largest clients in the Los Angeles office. 


He was admitted to the partnership in 1997 and remained in that capacity until his departure in 2003, when he started Moffett & Associates, Inc.  Marty is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed Attorney in California. 


Marty received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University.  Marty is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Bar Association-Tax Section, and the State Bar of California-Tax Section.

Stephanie Chen

Stephanie began her career in public accounting at Moffett & Associates, Inc.  During her 15+ years of experience, she has focused on corporate and partnership tax compliance, developing an expertise in federal consolidated corporate, federal partnership, and multi-state income tax returns, as well as research and analysis of federal and state tax matters. 


Additionally, she has extensive experience with ASC 740 income tax provision services for public companies, including income tax provision preparation, analysis, and disclosures.  Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.  She is a Certified Public Accountant in California.
